Yoga and Mindfulness for Back Pain Workshop

Join Liz in this special three hour workshop to address, practice alleviating and become more skilled and empowered to manage, and potentially heal, your back pain.

You'll learn about how chronic pain impacts our body-mind and how yoga and mindfulness techniques can greatly improve your mindset, your mobility, as well as reduce your symptoms.

As we go through life, we accumulate stress in our spine from injury or repetitive movements which causes us limited mobility, creates pain and impacts on our ability to enjoy life.

This practical workshop will give you a clear understanding and awareness of how your spine moves and teach you how to manage different types of pain and discomfort to function better in daily life.

As well as being an experienced teacher of yoga and mindfulness, Liz (pictured above) lives with a spinal injury and chronic pain, following an accident several years ago. Lis is currently completing her Masters in Psychology and her research includes both mindfulness and pain studies. She has used yoga, mindfulness and meditation to live a happy and fulfilling life. She is a warm, compassionate teacher and has first-hand wisdom, experience and tips to share in helping you!

This workshop is recommended if you suffer from any form of back pain or if you experience limited mobility in your spine - and you would like to begin yoga or strengthen an existing yoga practice, to target your spine.

This workshop offers you these benefits: 

  • Experience the effects of yoga, meditation and mindfulness on your back pain.
  • How to understand and work with different types of pain and discomfort.
  • Learn about the anatomy and functionality of the spine as three sections.
  • Understand the role of the Central Nervous System.
  • Practice three simple yoga sequences that target each section of the spine, to safely apply to your back injury or condition.
  • Improve your spine's stability, mobility and flexibility.

  • When we understand how our spine works and have better functional spinal movement, it allows for a continual flow of energy for our optimum physical, mental and emotional wellbeing.

    This workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as experienced yoga students.

    Places in this workshop are limited to 15 students. Both men and women are welcome. Save if you book with a partner or friend. We encourage you to book your place early!
