Cultivate the balance, transformation and well-being you need for Autumn in this special two-hour yin yoga workshop.
Unless we are balanced, during this time of year we are more likely to experience asthma, allergies, colds and flus, develop skin-related issues, bowel disturbances, depression or anxiety.
According to Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Autumn season correlates with the metal element and the lungs and the large intestine in the body. It's about the breath and transformation. We can access our power to remain well and thrive in Autumn, as well as honour the comings and the goings of life, through balance.
The Benefits of Yin YogaYin Yoga is a practice with long-held, deeply relaxing positions that open and balance the ‘meridians’ or energy pathways of the body, restoring our natural balance and health.
Laura will share the practical and healing benefits of Yin Yoga, as well as the elements of Traditional Chinese Medicine for the Autumn season to:
We will use props to support the body, making this workshop safe, accessible and suitable to any age or body type, including beginners.
- promote the flow of chi (energy) to remove blockages and toxicity with a grounding Yin Yoga practice;
- release deeply held physical and mental tension;
- enhance self-acceptance by learning about the unique anatomical features of your body;
- discover the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine for overall health;
- experience the powerful stillness ‘yin’ creates to balance our ‘yang’ lifestyle, creating inner peace; and
- feel a greater sense of well-being in your body, mind, heart and spirit.
Experienced students with a regular Ashtanga, Vinyasa or Hatha Yoga practice, will benefit from the differing pace and focus of this workshop.
