What is the International Day of Yoga?

Recognising yoga's universal appeal, on 11 December 2014, the United Nations declared the 21 June as the annual International Day of Yoga. It was endorsed by a record of 175 member nations. The day aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practising yoga. Today, it is estimated that over 30 million people worldwide practise yoga - and we are delighted to be a part of this!

“Yoga is an invaluable gift from our ancient tradition. Yoga embodies unity of mind and body, thought and action ... a holistic approach that is valuable to our health and our well-being. Yoga is not just about exercise; it is a way to discover the sense of oneness with yourself, the w orld and nature.” Narendra Modi, Indian Prime Minister

Help Support Charity

All monies raised on the day go to our chosen charity - the Kai Eardley Fund, based in Fremantle.

The Kai Eardley group aims to create positive change for the mental health of our youth and to honour the life of Kai Eardly, lost to teenage suicide. Our donations will go towards the delivery of the Man Up project in WA Schools.

For a $2 donation per person, per class or morning/afternoon tea, you will help us to raise money.

Class Schedule

All classes are FREE and open to the public, as well as our regular yoga students. Or we encourage you to do your bit and make a $2 charity donation (see above).

All yoga mats and supportive bolsters are provided for all yoga classes. Chairs and sitting props are provided for meditation. You are also welcome to bring your own yoga mat or meditation cushion.
